I like the idea of cooks and Snead back there. Would prefer Snead over Cooks a lot more, as Snead has some very sure hands and looks to be able to take more hits because of size.

Saints actually game planning this week, want better execution up front and in the running game.

Was a physical camp, Payton overall happy with the conditioning of this team and feels it is healthy overall.

Anthony back healthy, takes it in stride if there's decreased snap at SAM.

Vaccaro stands out this camp, as many other defenders do under new DA defense.

Wow, one of the 2 fans SP picked from the crowd lost her husband to cancer 2 weeks ago (SP didn't know when he picked her)... What a treat for her... the other one dealt with flooding in New Iberia, but it seems he made out ok...

Payton needs to let Tommylee Lewis have more looks in the return game. Marcus Murphy is shot mentally right now in terms of ball security.

CJ Spiller looks explosive & I'm excited to see what he looks like when Payton actually uses him to attack a defense as apposed to just the bland play calling we see in preseason.

I've heard some fans get on Brandon Coleman for his "drops" last week but those weren't just drops. It would have been nice to see him hold on to those passes in traffic but I won't fault him for it. On the first one, the safety came from an odd angle to put a hit on him before he could secure the ball. On the second one, he got smacked pretty good. Not many receivers would have hauled that pass in either.

Tim Lelito at LG has been awful. If he is going to anchor that position throughout the season, he will be a liability. Peat wasn't much better but I'm fairly certain that the moving around the line is affecting his comfort level with his development. He is being asked to remember entirely too much right now from both a technique & play book standpoint. He has be mixing up his footwork & technique from the different positions he is being asked to play as well as his responsibilities concerning certain plays. I find it hard to believe that he has regressed this much after making huge strides late last season. The guy's head has to be spinning with what is being asked of him right now.  If this doesn't resolved then our interior offensive line will be a mess. As good as Unger is, he won't be able to make up for the poor play of Lelito & mental errors by Peat. If this keeps up, the run game will be nonexistent & Brees will be running for his life or taking big hits in the pocket all season long.

Defensively, Nick Fairly, PJ Williams & Kasim Edebali have been pleasant surprises with their play so far. Crawley & Harris haven't been spectacular in the two preseason games, just real solid though. I like the young depth at CB right now.
