  1. On offense I went Brees, Kamara, and Thomas. On defense Davis, Jordan, and Lattimore. On ST, Taysom and Lutz. Great team win. From coaching all the way down to each player. After the shaky start, nobody panicked. They responded. Lattimore was in Pro Bowl form, with 2 picks and Apple played a great game. The defense shut down the Eagles after the first quarter. Dominant win. Game balls to all, really. BUT, if there was only ONE game ball to give, I would give it to Mike Thomas. He really just took over the game. He made big play after big play, and the Eagles could not stop him. Physical, explosive, fast.... there were some catches that were almost unbelievable. What a weapon, especially with the rapport he has with Brees. Enjoy this folks. We have a future HOF at QB, an ELITE wr in Thomas, maybe the best RB tandem in the NFL, a masterful play caller as our coach, a top run defense (and a sound, playmaking, well rounded one at that), and Dome field advantage for the NFC title game. What a great time to be a Saints fan. WHODAT!!!
  2. I believe the Saints win by 2 touchdowns at least. Brees will regain his mid-season form and drop daggers all game. We match up well against Philly. As long as our Oline is healthy, I don't see any team stopping the Saints. Not one team. WHODAT!!
  3. You don't want to make Mark angry....you wouldn't like him when he's angry
  4. try again.

  6. The Saints were outcoached and outplayed. It's that simple. Yes, the officiating was horrible. How do you NOT call a blatant helmet to helmet targeting??? But, in the end, Dallas played the better game. Their defense was fast and swarming to the ball. They got pressure on Brees all night, which neutralized him. Their LBs are really quick sideline to sideline, so that neutralized Kamara. Their DBs were mugging Thomas all night, which neutralized him. This loss, from what the Saints could do, is all on Payton. Running the ball up the middle was working, but Payton abandons it immediately. And for the life of me, I CANNOT understand the 4th down call on the goal line. That was inexcusable. Their Dline was owning our Oline all game long, so you run the ball in that moment?!?!?! YOU TAKE THE POINTS!! I was livid because I knew that would bite us later. So stupid of a call. I get being aggresive - but that was DUMB. All in all, we're still 10 - 2. Good place to be. The defense is improving every week, and I think this offense will get back on track.
  7. I've never seen Brees THIS focused before. Dude is a machine out there. I don't recall seeing one WTF pass or game from him this season. He is running this offense flawlessly. His best season, IMO, by far. I really don't care if he gets MVP. That award is a popularity contest, and a borderline joke. I just want to keep winning. Get homefield advantage through the playoffs and on to the Superbowl. Brees is OUR MVP, nothing else matters.
  8. I hear ya, ATN. I majored in art in college myself. I ended up not pursuing art professionally, but I still create. I play music, write songs, draw and paint. It all started with comics. Marvel comics and Stan Lee.
  9. RIP Stan. I grew up reading comics - especially Marvel comics. It led me to pursuing art. Huge impact on my life. Because of Stan Lee’s work, it spurred my own creativity. Thanks for that Stan. Dude was a true visionary. What he built, along with Jack Kirby and others, is amazing. He was one of a kind, truly.

  11. I like this move. Meredith has been invisible, and Carr has caught, what, maybe 2 passes or so? We were thin at WR, and this staff did their homework on Dez, brought him in for a workout, and pulled the trigger. We just gained a huge red zone target, and another actual WR target besides Mike Thomas and Trequan. I see Dez making some big plays and scoring 5 or so TDs in this stretch of the season. We added another playmaker, who along with the likes of Mike Thomas, Trequan, Kamara, Ingram, Watson, and Taysom Hill - will be a nightmare for opposing DCs. Hopefully Dez and Drew can get on the same page ASAP.
  12. Voted Kamara, who was unstoppable, and Oline on offense. Lattimore and Rankins (beast mode) on defense. Lutz and Moorestead on ST. Honorable Mention: Davenport, who is becoming a disruptor and is on his way to being a monster.
  13. I honestly don't know a thing about Apple, other than that he was a first round pick. Sounds like the Saints wanted Peterson, who wasn't available, and went with Plan B instead. The Saints addressed the biggest weakness on this team, and I don't have a single problem with that. Will Apple work out? I don't know, but a change in scenery has been known to make a player much better. Look at Malcolm Jenkins and Akeem Hicks - both elevated their play after leaving the Saints.
  14. This type of moronic nonsense by the sports media continued today with Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless. Basically, they gave "reasons" why Brees isn't considered one of the greats. Only 1 Superbowl, being coached by Payton, offenses more pass friendly, etc. Both then went to the stupidest arguement possible....wins. Skip immediately points to 6 non-winning seasons out of 12 for Brees in New Orleans. Then, moronically, mentions Brady's regular season record. Now, I think Brady is one of the greatest of all time, BUT that division had been pathetic for over a decade. Who is going to challenge the Pats? Miami? The Bills??? It's such a stupid argument. I am also tired of the "well, Brees doesn't have multiple SuperBowl wins" argument. By that standard, Marino shouldn't EVER be in the conversation of elite QBs. I don't get it. What does Drew have to do to get SOME respect from the press? He could have a 10 td / 700 yd game, and the press would shrug their shoulders. The man breaks an all time record, and most of the so called sports experts are not only unimpressed, but give excuses as to why it's not really a big deal. Disgusting.
  15. Fellow Whodats, we are in the golden age of Saints football. We have a talented roster, a inventive and gutsy coach (and staff), and a united team with absolutely no quit in them. But, in the center of it all, we have the "Elite 3": Brees, Kamara, and Michael Thomas. Just take that in for a second. Each of these fierce competitors are at or near the top of their positions. We have a future Hall of Famer at QB, a powerful shifty RB, and a wide receiver catching everything thrown his way. Every dominant NFL team that I've seen has had that top 3 combo to build a championship team around. The Cowboys had Aikman, Emmitt, and Irvin. The early 90s Bills had Kelley,Thurman Thomas, and Andre Reed. Heck, the 2000 Rams had Warner, Faulk, and TWO elite WRs. This staff has taken steps to build this team and address weaknesses. Do they miss it sometimes? Yes, of course. But we've come to a point where the front office, after building up the defense (and overall depth), can build around the Elite 3. I always hoped as a Saints fan, that I would see Brees surrounded by elite talent at the skill positions. Now he has that...and then some. WHODAT!!
  16. This. This Oline is opening up huge holes for the running game. I remember on one of Kamara's runs, there was a Grand Canyon sized gap for him to run through. Also, Ingram thrives running through those types of holes. He doesn't get skinny like Kamara does. This running game will be dominant in the coming weeks.

  18. What?!?? Who’s left to run the ball? Don’t like this at all.
  19. Stupar was cut to make room. I don’t think that’s a smart move. Stupar is good depth and a spot starter.
  20. They won't be able to surround him with much talent, with that kind of overpay. Not smart.
  21. I worked at Circuit City from 1999 - 2003, and I remember selling a 4MP semi-pro digital camera for $2399. Crazy how technology jumps forward. And gets cheaper.
  22. I agree. And what’s really scary is that Lattimore and Kamara have that same potential. All on the same team.... WHODAT!!!
  23. Saw it today. I liked it. Good, well developed story and good action.
